Job summary

QAFCO (Qatar Fertiliser Company) in Mesaieed is seeking an experienced Pre-Project Engineer to plan, prioritize, and execute pre-project activities in line with company procedures and objectives.

The role involves root cause analysis, engineering calculations using software, and producing deliverables to required quality for project execution, with coordination across multiple trades and customers. A strong background in electrical engineering within fertilizer/oil & gas is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or relevant discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years direct and relevant experience in fertilizer, petrochemical, or oil & gas industries.
• Familiarity with electrical codes and standards for electrical engineering in oil & gas facilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan work activities for Pre-projects and lead teams to meet objectives.
• Perform root cause analysis and engineering calculations per codes and standards.
• Produce engineering deliverables and safety/environmental studies for smooth project execution.
• Develop and maintain specifications/standards within trades and update with lessons learned.
• Provide technical support to Operations and assist in training junior engineers.
