Job summary

A global oil and gas company seeks a Safety Lead to ensure a culture of care and safety-first execution on large projects in Qatar. The role focuses on visible safety leadership and contractor management across major fabrication, installation, and hook-up activities.

You will review contractor documents, coordinate with project teams, and lead risk assessments and safety meetings to ensure compliance with standards and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Sciences or Engineering.
• 8 years' experience with large oil and gas construction projects.
• Supervisory or oversight experience.
• Knowledge of codes and safety criteria for major fabrication, transport, and hook-up.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible safety leadership and culture of care on projects.
• Review electrical and project documents submitted by Contractors for compliance.
• Engage with Contractors on schedule, technical, and cost issues.
• Attend planning meetings, risk assessments, and toolbox talks; ensure clear activity understanding.
• Review contractor reports to verify progress and milestones.
