Job summary

Flyper in Ar-Ruwais, Qatar, seeks an experienced Executive Chef on a contract basis to lead the kitchen and oversee all culinary operations. You will drive menu innovation and manage day-to-day kitchen activity in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities include training staff, overseeing food preparation, maintaining inventory, and ensuring health and safety standards. English fluency is required; Arabic is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef in a high-volume setting.
• Strong leadership and team-motivation abilities.
• Creative menu development and presentation.
• Excellent time management for fast-paced kitchens.
• Solid food cost control knowledge and practices.
• Solid knowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulations.
• Fluency in English (Arabic a plus).

Responsibilities

• Plan and create innovative menu items aligned with the restaurant concept.
• Source ingredients and negotiate with suppliers for cost-effective purchasing.
• Oversee kitchen operations including food prep, cooking and plating.
• Train and develop kitchen staff to maintain high standards.
• Maintain inventory and proper storage/rotation of ingredients.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and sanitation regulations.
• Collaborate on seasonal and event menus.
