Job summary

Imperium Consulting's client in Qatar is seeking a Commercial Manager to work on-site with the Project Manager, delivering large rail and metro developments in Doha. You will lead a team of Quantity Surveyors and manage client, consultant and framework partner relationships.

The role requires a strong track record on rail/underground projects, experience with main or sub-contractors, and proven budgeting and cost reporting capabilities to keep projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• A HNC or Degree within the Quantity Surveying, Construction or Engineering field.
• 10 years experience
• Worked on Rail – Underground – Subway or Metro Projects
• Worked for a recognised main contractor or sub contractor
• Working currently as a Senior Quantity Surveyor – Contracts Administrator – Project Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Based on site you will be working with the Project Manager in delivering the project within time, budget and specification.
• Manage a team of Quantity Surveyors.
• You will be responsible for managing the relationship with the client, consultant and framework partners.
• You will also be managing the in house construction teams and external sub contractors.
• Ensure the management of the quantity surveying team and ensure all cost reporting and budgeting is managed.

Our client are also in JV in Qatar with some of the worlds largest global contracting firms, therefore are at the forefront on a number of the large scale developments in Qatar. They have recently been awarded as a Framework Contractor Multi Million Dollar projects within the Rail & Metro sector. Alongside their international partners, our client will be developing underground, rail and metro stations across Doha.

As a result of being awarded such high value and prestigious projects a number of senior level requirements have arisen, for candidates experienced within the rail, underground, subway and metro sectors.
