Job summary

InterContinental Doha Beach & Spa is hiring a Chef de Partie to oversee a kitchen section, ensuring high-quality dishes and strict adherence to recipes and hygiene standards. You will supervise junior chefs, manage mise en place, and collaborate with the Sous Chef to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities include monitoring ingredient quality, reducing waste, maintaining equipment, and contributing to menu development in a luxury hotel setting in Doha.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts, Professional Cookery, or related field preferred.
• Experience as Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie in a five-star/luxury hotel is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation methods and international cuisine.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present high-quality dishes within the assigned kitchen section, following established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
• Supervise daily operations of the assigned section, ensuring efficient food preparation and timely service delivery.
• Monitor quality, freshness, storage and handling of ingredients to maintain high culinary standards.
• Ensure all kitchen activities comply with hygiene, food safety and HACCP standards.
• Coordinate with the Sous Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations and consistency in food quality.
• Organize and maintain mise en place according to production requirements and business levels.
• Supervise, train and guide junior chefs, ensuring adherence to recipes, techniques and standards.
• Assist the Sous Chef in developing new dishes and improving recipes.
• Monitor stock levels and communicate ingredient and supply needs to the Sous Chef.
• Maintain cleanliness and safe working environment across food prep and service.
• Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly.
