Responsibilities

• Reconcile daily collections with POS reports.
• Prepare and submit daily cashier reports with supporting documents.
• Maintain the cashier float and report discrepancies.
• Follow cash-handling procedures and internal controls.
• Keep guest and financial information confidential.
• Coordinate with other departments to resolve payment issues.
• Perform any other cashier duties as assigned.

A. Job Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Cashier, preferably within a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Good numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash-handling procedures.
• Ability to handle cash and payment transactions accurately and responsibly.
• Good communication and organizational skills.

B. Key Areas of Responsibility

Responsibilities

• Handle cash, card, and room-charge payments accurately.
• Operate the POS system and ensure guest checks are correctly closed.
• Verify discounts, voids, and complimentary bills according to hotel procedures.
• Reconcile daily collections against POS reports and ensure all transactions are properly accounted for.
• Prepare and submit daily cashier reports together with all required supporting documents.
• Maintain and safeguard the assigned cashier float at all times.
• Identify and immediately report any cash shortages, overages, or discrepancies.
• Ensure all transactions and supporting documents are complete and properly recorded.
• Follow the hotel’s cash-handling procedures and internal controls at all times.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling guest and financial information.
• Cooperate with the relevant departments to resolve any payment or billing discrepancies.
• Perform any other cashier-related duties assigned by the management within the scope of the position.
