Job summary

Accor is seeking a Carpenter to repair, maintain and construct wood structures such as partitions, doors, and furniture throughout the hotel. The role requires hands-on experience and a commitment to high standards of service.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in hotel carpentry, proficiency in finish carpentry, and the ability to work at heights. Vocational training or apprenticeship is preferred, with relevant education and work authorization as applicable.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related building environment.
• 2+ years of Building Carpentry experience.
• Highly skilled in finish carpentry (crown molding, base and trim).
• Ability to access high areas using a ladder.
• Vocational/technical training or apprenticeship.
• High school diploma; trade school or apprenticeship in carpentry and/or construction.
• Work Authorization in the U.S.

Job Description

The Carpenter is responsible to repair, maintain and construct wood structures such as partitions, doors, furniture and similar items throughout the hotel. The Carpenter is to provide the highest quality service working in an efficient and thoughtful manner. At all times the highest level of service standards is to be adhered to.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

• At least 2 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related building environment
• 2 plus years of Building Carpentry experience
• Highly skilled in all aspects of finish carpentry, i.e. crown molding, wood base and trim work
• Ability to access high areas using a ladder
• Vocational/technical training or apprenticeship
• High school diploma.
• Trade school or apprenticeship in carpentry and/or construction.
• Work Authorization in the U.S.

Physical requirements:

• Extended periods of standing, walking, climbing stairs, crouching/kneeling, bending and twisting
• Carrying/lifting up to 50lbs
• Repetitive motion
