Job summary

AccorHotel in Doha is seeking an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to support the Housekeeping Manager and lead the team in delivering exceptional guest experiences through impeccable cleanliness and presentation.

You will supervise daily operations, coordinate with Front Office, Engineering and Laundry, conduct regular room inspections, manage scheduling and costs, and coach Heartists to uphold brand standards and guest satisfaction while promoting a safe, hygienic working environment.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in housekeeping.
• Background in luxury hotels preferred.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to lead by example and motivate a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Housekeeping Manager in leading, coaching, mentoring and developing the Housekeeping team.
• Supervise daily housekeeping operations to ensure guest rooms and public areas meet the highest cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Monitor productivity, quality and service standards while ensuring compliance with brand standards and hotel policies.
• Coordinate with the Front Office, Engineering, Laundry and other departments to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house areas to maintain quality standards.
• Assist with scheduling, inventory control, ordering of housekeeping supplies and cost management.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training and performance management of Heartists.
• Handle guest requests and concerns promptly and professionally to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
• Promote a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with health, safety and hygiene procedures.

Your experience and skills include:

• Service-focused personality with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within Housekeeping, preferably in a luxury hotel environment.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to lead by example, motivate a diverse team, and foster a positive working environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel property management systems is an advantage.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
