Job summary

Nord Anglia International School Al Khor in Qatar is seeking an Operations Manager to take overall responsibility for the campus' operational management, delivering strategic leadership across health and safety, facilities, and planning.

The role involves managing capital projects, large-scale procurement, contracts with landlords and service providers, regulatory compliance in Qatar, budgeting, and leading a team across non-academic functions.

Qualifications

• University degree.
• Experience in operations management in a similar setting.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Qatar/Middle East experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for health and safety, facilities management, and campus planning across the school.
• Lead day-to-day management of capital projects including capex budgets, governance structures, and risk mitigation.
• Oversee campus renovations, modifications and large-scale procurement projects, liaising with landlords, contractors and design teams.
• Manage all third-party contracts and day-to-day operations including security, cleaning and maintenance, school buses, and onsite catering.
• Ensure compliance with Qatar regulatory agencies, NAE standards, and legal and compliance requirements.
• Lead budgeting, procurement, and event logistics across all non-academic functions of the school.
• Line manage the Procurement Officer, Operations Assistant, facilities team, bus support assistants, and medical team.
• Work with Extended Leadership Team on space planning, room moves, and building maintenance activities.
• Advise the Principal on resource requirements and drive cost savings through vendor and supplier negotiations.
