Job summary

Mondrian is seeking a friendly cafeteria attendant to support employee dining, ensuring timely food delivery and high service standards across shifts.

You will clean and maintain equipment, restock stations, and uphold strict hygiene and safety standards while assisting staff and management. The role requires reliability, strong communication, and flexibility for weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Strong hospitality focus and attention to detail.
• Experience in a similar dining/ cafeteria role preferred.
• Good communication and time management skills with a friendly personality.
• Availability to work varied shifts including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and supports the delivery of food and refreshments to employees, ensuring seating and meals are available for all shifts.
• Cleans and maintains equipment, tools and fixtures using correct cleaning agents while working safely and hygienically.
• Cleans and restocks service stations and all storage areas.
• Familiar with all items on the employee menu and buffet offerings.
• Sets up tables with condiments and utilities according to service needs.
• Adheres to cleaning schedules and follows them strictly.
• Maintains personal grooming and a smart appearance at all times.
• Maintains knowledge of all cafeteria equipment and assists with sanitation.

Job description

• Supervises and supports the delivery food and refreshments to employee s and delivering high service standards and procedures with emphasis on ensuring seating and meals are available for all shifts
• Cleans and maintains equipment tools fixtures using correct cleaning agents and working in a safe and hygienic manner
• Cleans and re-stocks service stations and all other storage places
• To be familiar with all items available to employee s in relation to the employee menu and buffet items
• To set up each table according to the needs for each service including condiments and utilities
• To adhere to the cleaning schedule and ensure it is followed at all times
• To report for duty on time and ensure a smart image at all times by maintaining the highest standards of personnel hygiene
• To be knowledgeable of all equipment in the cafeteria
• Performs any other tasks requested by Human Resources Team and any reasonable request made by employee s committee members
• Be actively involved in food welfare committee meeting and ideas to enhance the employee dining experience Attend team meetings and training sessions on a regular basis as and when required
• To carry out any occasional duty as requested by the Employee Accommodation Manager including functions such as employee welfare events and National days
• Responsible for food control stock taking ordering and quality control
• Assist the Stewards in preparing Cafeteria utensils used during meal and tea breaks
• Ensures that proper sanitation and hygiene is being followed in dining and kitchen area
• Be properly groomed at all times
• Provides assistance to employees in the Cafeteria
• Work closely with the Hygiene Manager and Chief Steward to ensure the dining facilities meet all food safety and municipality standards
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Strong attention to detail with a passion for hospitality
• Good communication and time management skills with a friendly personality
• Availability to work varied shifts including weekends and public holidays
