Job summary

Experience in Qatar is seeking an in-house Legal Counsel to conduct legal analysis, research, and provide advisory support on disputes within real estate and construction sectors. The role involves drafting opinions, reviewing materials, and guiding settlements in collaboration with external lawyers.

You will represent the company in court, police stations, ministries, and other government entities, with meetings involving court experts and ongoing oversight of contract clauses and compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a legal role.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.
• Experience with Qatar jurisdiction, real estate and construction dispute resolution.

Responsibilities

• Conducting legal analysis and researching legal matters.
• Providing advice on legal matters.
• Drafting legal opinions, memoranda, and briefing documents.
• Reviewing legal material.
• Formulating formalities regarding settlements of disputes.
• Monitoring the implementation of the legal clauses
• Reviewing legal cases before filing from law firm.
• Solving disputes through friendly settlement.
• Assisting external lawyers in drafting memorandum and defence
• Meetings with court experts.
• Representing the company and its employees in front of the court / police station / ministries and other governmental entity.
