Job summary

Swan Global is assisting a semi-government real estate client in Qatar to hire a Legal Counsel. The ideal candidate will hold an LL.B. (or equivalent) with 3–5 years PQE and preferably an LL.M.

A strong background in drafting, contract review, and legal research in both Arabic and English is essential. Prior Qatar experience and familiarity with local regulations are highly valued. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in law (LL.B. or equivalent).
• LL.M. or Master’s degree in law preferred (UK/USA).
• 3–5 years PQE in a legal role.
• Experience in a reputable law firm preferred.
• Experience in Qatar law/regulatory environment is preferred.
• Fully bilingual in Arabic and English with excellent written and spoken skills.
• Strong drafting, contract review, legal research and analytical abilities in both languages.
• Highly accurate, detail-oriented, and able to produce high-quality work.
• Demonstrates ownership, accountability and proactive work style.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Good organizational and multitasking skills; able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Job description

Our client in the real estate sector, a semi-govt entity is looking to hire for a Legal Counsel .

• Bachelor's degree in law (LL.B. or equivalent), preferably from a recognized Arabic university.

• LL.M. or master's degree in law from a recognized university in the UK or USA is preferred.

• Qualified lawyer with 3 - 5 years of post-qualification legal experience (PQE).

• Preferably trained and gained substantive experience within a reputable law firm.

• Preferably with previous legal experience in Qatar is preferred, with familiarity with the Qatari legal and regulatory environment.

• Fully bilingual in Arabic and English, with excellent written and spoken proficiency in both languages.

• Strong legal drafting, contract review, legal research and analytical skills in both Arabic and English.

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to produce consistently high-quality legal work.

• Strong sense of ownership, responsibility and accountability for assigned matters.

• Hard-working, dedicated and proactive, with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the wider team.

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage several matters and competing priorities simultaneously.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure and consistently meet agreed deadlines and timeframes.
