Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group Limited is seeking a Bartender to craft exceptional beverages and provide memorable experiences for guests at our property in Doha, Qatar. You will prepare and serve cocktails and other beverages, engage guests with knowledge and recommendations, and maintain a well‑stocked, spotless bar area.

The role requires experience in luxury hospitality, strong cocktail knowledge, excellent communication, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in luxury hotel or upscale restaurant environments is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, wine and beer.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a service-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages accurately and efficiently, following recipes and standards.
• Engage guests with friendly, professional service and offer menu recommendations.
• Maintain a clean, organized bar area with glassware, spirits, mixers and garnishes.
• Monitor alcohol service to ensure safety and licensing compliance.
• Process orders and payments using the POS system.
• Assist with inventory, stocking, rotation and ordering supplies.
• Adhere to health, safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Collaborate with front-of-house and back-of-house teammates to ensure seamless service.

• Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently, adhering to company recipes and standards.
• Engage with guests in a friendly, professional, and knowledgeable manner, providing recommendations and answering questions about menu items.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well‑stocked bar area, including glassware, spirits, mixers, and garnishes.
• Monitor guest alcohol consumption and act responsibly to ensure guest safety and compliance with all licensing regulations.
• Process guest orders and payments accurately using the POS system.
• Assist with inventory management, including stocking, rotating, and ordering supplies.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Collaborate effectively with other front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house team members to ensure seamless service.

Job Qualifications:**

• Previous experience as a bartender, preferably in a luxury hotel or upscale restaurant environment.
• Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a service‑oriented mindset.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining a high level of quality.
