Job summary

Radisson Hotel Group is seeking a dedicated Fire Safety Officer to maintain the highest standards of life safety across our Doha properties. You will conduct daily inspections, manage fire protection systems, and ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local regulations, while promoting a Yes I Can safety culture.

The role requires hands-on inspection, accurate record-keeping, and coordination with engineering and hotel leadership to prevent incidents and respond effectively during events.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the overall fire and life safety of the hotel in accordance with NFPA standards, local regulations, and hotel safety policies.
• Conduct daily inspections to identify and immediately address unsafe conditions, fire hazards, and unsafe staff practices.
• Maintain and regularly inspect all fire protection and life safety systems, including fire hydrants, hose reels, extinguishers, alarms, emergency devices, and related equipment.
• Conduct periodic testing and inspection of fire safety equipment and emergency systems, ensuring accurate maintenance records and log entries.
• Ensure the serviceability of standby generators, emergency lighting, emergency exits, escape routes, and other critical emergency facilities.
• Inspect electrical installations, equipment, wiring, heaters, and other potential fire hazards to ensure safe operating conditions.
• Ensure appropriate fire and safety measures are implemented during hotel events, functions, and special activities.
• Conduct regular fire drills, safety meetings, and employee awareness training to maintain a strong safety culture across the hotel.
• Report unsafe conditions and required corrective actions to the relevant Heads of Department and Chief Engineer, and follow up until issues are resolved.
• Maintain comprehensive safety records, inspection reports, and incident documentation while demonstrating a professional “Yes I Can!” attitude at all times.
