Assistant Resident Engineer – Drainage & Utilities (Doha)

Job summary

KEO International invites applications for an Assistant Resident Engineer (Drainage/Utilities) based in Doha, Qatar, to support drainage infrastructure projects on a major client’s secondment.

You will lead the construction supervision team, oversee site engineers, inspectors and surveyors, and ensure delivery in compliance with contract drawings, specifications, programme and budget while maintaining safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university is mandatory, subject to engineer approval.
• Valid Qatar Engineering License (MME/UPDA) is mandatory.
• Minimum 10 years of demonstrable experience in construction supervision.
• Minimum 7 years in ARE or equivalent senior supervision on drainage/infrastructure projects.
• Strong experience in drainage, sewerage, utilities and related civil works.
• Excellent English written and spoken communication.
• Experience in QA/QC, contract administration, HSE and supervision.
• Experience working in Qatar is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and technical direction to the construction supervision team.
• Supervise drainage, sewerage and associated infrastructure works against drawings and specs.
• Review contract drawings, specs, method statements and submissions.
• Monitor progress, quality and safety; ensure alignment with programme.
• Coordinate Site Engineers, Inspectors, Surveyors and other disciplines.
• Identify risks and resolve technical issues during construction.
• Provide input into technical and financial proposals and project planning.
• Ensure coordination across drainage, utilities, civil works and other disciplines.
