Job summary

Advanced Search in Qatar is seeking an Assistant Manager – Industrial Cleaning Services to lead complex cleaning operations across storage tanks, pipelines, and process equipment. You will oversee safety, quality, and on-site execution, coordinating a team of supervisors, technicians, and operators.

The role requires a chemical/ environmental engineering background, 6–8 years in industrial cleaning or waste management, and 2–3 years of supervision; GCC oil & gas familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Environmental Engineering.
• 6–8 years of experience in industrial cleaning/waste management, with 2–3 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in GCC oil & gas and petrochemical operations is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.

Responsibilities

Assistant Manager – Industrial Cleaning Services

Operations Management

Supervise and coordinate industrial cleaning projects including tank cleaning, sludge removal, heat exchanger cleaning, pipeline flushing, and confined space entry operations.

Ensure compliance with HSE standards, ISO, and local regulatory requirements.

Monitor daily operations, allocate manpower, and manage equipment utilization (Hydro Jetting, Super Sucker, vacuum trucks, etc.).

Technical Expertise

Provide technical guidance on cleaning methodologies for storage tanks, separators, reactors, boilers, and heat exchangers.

Evaluate sludge characterization and recommend safe disposal/recycling methods.

Support troubleshooting of cleaning challenges in oil & gas and petrochemical facilities.

Client & Stakeholder Management

Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure smooth project execution.

Prepare technical proposals, work scopes, and cost estimates for tenders and ongoing projects.

Maintain strong client relationships to secure repeat business.

Train and mentor supervisors, technicians, and operators in safe and efficient cleaning practices.

Conduct toolbox talks, safety drills, and performance evaluations.

Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Reporting & Documentation

Prepare daily progress reports, incident reports, and project closure documentation.

Track KPIs such as turnaround time, resource efficiency, and safety compliance.

Support management in CAPEX/OPEX planning and budgeting.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline.

Minimum 6–8 years of experience in industrial cleaning/waste management, with at least 2-3 years in supervisory or assistant managerial role.

Strong knowledge of:

• Hydro Jetting, Super Sucker, vacuum trucks, chemical cleaning methods
• Oil & Gas and Petrochemical plant operations in GCC
• Familiarity with HSE regulations, confined space entry, and hazardous waste handling.
• Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, pumps, compressors, and waste management systems.

Excellent communication, leadership, and client management skills.
