Job summary

Milaha in Qatar seeks a Safety Manager to report on the delivery of HSEQ services, ensure compliance evaluation, and facilitate site training as delegated.

You will implement procedures, evaluate site performance, manage ISO standards, conduct investigations, and support operations while monitoring compliance and participating in HSE committees.

Qualifications

• 3-year degree in Health and Safety required.
• Alternative: Associated degree + graduate diploma in Health and Safety.
• Alternative: Associated degree + NEBOSH Diploma.
• Alternative: Associated degree + Chartered IOSH membership.

Responsibilities

• Ensure implementation and effectiveness of technical procedures, specialist manuals and forms.
• Evaluate assigned site work processes and performance against objectives.
• Manage and coordinate ISO international standards-related activity.
• Conduct investigations and document HSEQ incidents.
• Provide technical support to operational managers.
• Measure assigned site HSEQ compliance and implementation levels.
• Supervise subordinate staff and monitor performance.
• Participate in business unit and/or site(s) HSE committees.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Education

3-year Full Time Degree in Health and Safety

3-year Full Time Degree (Associated Degree) + 2-year Full Time Graduate Diploma in Health and Safety

3-year Full Time Degree (Associated Degree) + NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety

3-year Full Time Degree (Associated Degree) + Chartered IOSH member

Qualifications

• 3-year Full Time Degree in Health and Safety from a recognised institution
• or3-year Full Time Degree (Associated Degree) from a recognised institution and a 2-year Full Time Graduate Diploma in Health and Safety
• or3-year Full Time Degree (Associated Degree) from a recognised institution and NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
• or3-year Full Time Degree (Associated Degree) from a recognised institution and Chartered member of IOSH

Required Skills

• 3 - 5 years of experience, with 3 years as HSE professional in heavy industry.
• Good knowledge of Office and web applications.
• Fluent spoken and written English.

Preferred Skills

• Auditor qualification (possible Lead Audit) for ISO accreditation framework.
• Root Cause Analysis certification.
• Training and Assessment qualification at Level 4 or higher.
• First Aid certification.
