La Petite Maison in Doha is seeking a skilled Sommelier to lead our wine program and mentor the team in delivering exceptional guest experiences. You will leverage extensive French wine knowledge to train staff and ensure top-tier service at all service levels.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years experience as a sommelier in a similar establishment.
• Excellent English – written and spoken.
• Extensive wine knowledge with emphasis on French wines.

Responsibilities

• Mentor your team and serve as their reference point to deliver the best guest experience.
• Demonstrate extensive knowledge of LPM products, including food, beverages, and wines.
• Train and educate staff on wine-related matters and pairings.
• Take full charge of the sommelier service during operations.
• Manage wine inventory, monitor storage conditions, and ensure secure handling.

What will you do:

• Act as a mentor to your team members, being their point of reference and supporting them in delivering the best guest experience possible while developing their skills.
• To have an extensive knowledge of LPM products (both on food and beverages).
• To have a deep knowledge of wines, food and wine pairings and the ability to train and educate staff on wine-related matters.
• To be able to take full charge of the sommelier service during operations.
• To manage the restaurant's wine inventory, overseeing storage conditions, monitoring levels and ensuring secure handling.

What you need:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 2-3 years of previous experience as a Sommelier in a similar establishment
• English – excellent oral and written
• Extensive wine knowledge (emphasis on French wine)
