Job summary

voco Doha Central is seeking an Assistant Events Manager to bring creativity, organization, and meticulous attention to detail to every occasion. You will work with clients and internal teams to turn ideas into memorable experiences while delivering outstanding service at every stage of the event journey.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality/Event Management or related field and a minimum of 2 years' experience in events or related hospitality roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Events Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Events, Catering Sales, Conference Services, or similar hospitality role.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple events and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management systems.
• A proactive, creative, and guest-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Leading conferences, meetings, weddings, social events, and corporate functions from enquiry to execution.
• Building strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and exceed expectations.
• Preparing proposals, contracts, banquet event orders, and event documentation.
• Coordinating with Food & Beverage, Culinary, Rooms, Engineering, and other operational teams to ensure successful event delivery.
• Conducting site inspections and client meetings to showcase the hotel's facilities and event capabilities.
• Leading revenue generation through upselling opportunities and effective event planning.
• Monitoring event details, timelines, and budgets to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensuring all events are delivered in line with brand standards and client expectations.
• Handling guest feedback and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
• Supporting pre-opening sales initiatives, promotional activities, and event showcases.
