Job summary

UCC Holding in Doha, Qatar seeks an Architectural Lighting Designer to develop indoor and outdoor lighting concepts for façades, interiors, landscapes and streets. You will create layouts, calculations, renderings, and documentation, while coordinating with stakeholders.

Applicants should have a Bachelor's in Architecture or Interior Design and 5–8 years of relevant experience, with proficiency in DIALux, Photoshop, and V-Ray.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop architectural lighting designs for indoor and outdoor environments, including façades, interiors, landscapes, streets, and parking areas.


• Prepare lighting concepts, layouts, calculations, and detailed design documentation.


• Create high-quality renderings, visualizations, and presentation materials.


• Perform lighting simulations using DIALux and other design tools.


• Review lighting technical specifications, shop drawings, and fixture selections.


• Coordinate with consultants, clients, and project stakeholders.


• Prepare material submittals and support approval processes.


• Ensure compliance with IES, CIBSE, and local authority standards.


• Contribute to GSAS and sustainability-related requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Interior Design.


• 5-8 years of experience in Architectural Lighting Design.


• Proficiency in DIALux, Photoshop, and V-Ray.


• Strong knowledge of lighting systems, fixtures, technologies, and industry standards.


• Excellent visualization, presentation, and communication skills.


• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Preferred:

• Experience with GSAS or other sustainable design frameworks.


• Familiarity with BIM and additional design software.
