Overview

Charterhouse is working with a leading investment company based in Qatar. Our client is looking to hire an Analyst Programmer to join their operation on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for applying technology solutions to business problems using the functional design specifications and technical specification documents.
• You will be responsible for application and interface programming including DBMS coding.
• You will also low-level program, develop test plans and scripts as well as generate test data and unit testing.
• You will advise the Project Manager of the change impact of new development projects and software package installations in a timely manner.
• You will code new applications and include appropriate error handlers, abnormal exits and others to meet core requirements.
• You will ensure that a unit test environment is available for any destructive testing and individual unit testing will not impact on other team members work and inform development Team members if so.

Qualifications

• The successful candidate should hold a bachelors Degree in computer science, information systems or equivalent.
• You should have at least 3 years experience in application development or 8 years experience if you hold a Diploma.
• Preference will be given to MCSA, .NET or Java certified candidates.
• You should have the ability to decompose software application systems and develop functional decomposition diagrams.
• It is desirable you have extensive experience of solid analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to find innovative approaches to address issues or requirements.
