Job summary

BAE Systems Strategic Aerospace Services WLL in Qatar seeks a Rectification Controller to lead a maintenance team focused on Typhoon aircraft systems. The role requires strong supervision, precise reporting, and coordination with the Forward Maintenance Manager to maintain airworthiness and timely recovery actions.

The ideal candidate has an engineering apprenticeship with related degree, extensive aviation safety experience, and knowledge of regulatory frameworks.

Qualifications

• Engineering Apprenticeship completed with City & Guilds 2675 or 2661, or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years in supervisor level prior to undertaking this role.
• 5 years aviation safety standards experience; 2 years in aircraft maintenance environment.
• Knowledge of Typhoon avionics and regulatory frameworks (E&PW, ITAR, ISO) and management training.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision to team members under direct supervision.
• Accurate maintenance and updating of ESS State Board progressing estimates and forecasts of aircraft recovery times.
• Rectifications control tasking and ensuring maintenance is performed to schedule.
• Brief the Part M organisation on the state of the Typhoon fleet and recovery actions.
• Maintain airworthiness records on relevant systems and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develop team members using formal assessment processes and ensure competency for tasks allocated.
