Job summary

BSL is seeking an experienced mechanical technician and supervisor to perform detailed maintenance on the Typhoon aircraft and components in Qatar. The role requires supervisory capability, strong diagnostic skills, and adherence to approved technical data within the regulatory framework.

You will guide and mentor the team, ensure compliance, and manage faults and inspections within a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will maintain currency through OJT, lead by example, and

Qualifications

• Engineering apprenticeship completion, preferably in Aeronautical Engineering or Military equivalent.
• Demonstrates breadth of experience and currency with aviation safety standards and documented training.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking detailed maintenance, inspection and supervision activities on the Typhoon and its components.
• Assuring work carried out is in accordance with the work package and approved technical information.
• Resolving faults and maintenance issues, including configuration management.
• Supervising and guiding the team, ensuring competence and adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Maintaining personal log books and currency through On the Job Training (OJT) and sign-off of others within trade boundaries.
• Providing leadership and participating in assessment processes and staff development.
