Job summary

Mowasalat Qatar is seeking an Accounts Receivable Accountant to manage receivables, ensure accurate invoicing, and support timely financial reporting. The role collaborates with internal teams and external customers to enforce credit policies and maintain precise records in SAP.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in accounting, strong reconciliation and analytical skills, and proficiency with SAP and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in transportation or service.
• Accounts Receivable Management training, Financial Analysis certification, or ERP training (SAP preferred).
• Accounts receivable management, debt collection, financial analysis and reconciliation, SAP/ECM systems proficiency, and MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and process invoice documents for accuracy and policy compliance.
• Update and maintain invoices in SAP, resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Adhere to credit policies and evaluate customer creditworthiness.
• Record and update all transactions in SAP before month-end closing.
• Maintain accurate customer accounts and GL balances.
• Process receipts and invoices to support timely reporting.
• Conduct reviews and reconciliations of customer accounts.
• Investigate discrepancies with customers and internal teams.
• Keep customer records current and well documented.
• Coordinate with internal departments for timely submission of invoices and docs.
• Follow up with customers on outstanding balances and overdue payments.
• Coordinate with collectors and negotiate payment plans.
• Respond to inquiries with supporting docs and clarification.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and customer data.
• Comply with finance policies, procedures, and controls.
