Job summary

Mowasalat Qatar is seeking an Accounts Payable Accountant in Doha to manage vendor invoices in SAP and ensure timely, accurate postings. The role involves three-way matching, month-end close support, and IFRS 16 entries in a busy finance team.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Accounting with 3–4 years AP experience, SAP/ECM training, and strong Excel and MS Word skills, plus fluent English and Arabic. This on-site position offers a dynamic work environment in Qatar.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 3–4 years of experience as an Accountant, preferably in Accounts Payable.
• SAP / ECM training or certification.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Proficiency in MS Word and accounting software.
• English and Arabic language skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day AP transactions including verifying, classifying, posting, and recording vendor invoices in SAP.
• Ensure accurate three-way matching (PO, GRN, Invoice) and timely entry of MIRO/MRKO transactions.
• Review and reconcile the Accounts Payable ledger to ensure all transactions are properly recorded and cleared.
• Maintain accurate records of prepaid expenses and related schedules.
• Monitor credit terms and payment schedules to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Liaise with vendors and internal departments regarding payment status and related inquiries.
• Assist in month-end closing activities, ensuring all AP transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
• Assist in preparing accounting entries related to IFRS 16 and other relevant accounting standards.
• Provide required documentation and support to internal and external auditors.

The role supports Mowasalat’s financial integrity by maintaining accurate AP records, coordinating with internal departments and suppliers, and ensuring timely settlement of obligations.
