Myticas Consulting is seeking an Application Engineer in Lisbon, Portugal – Hybrid. The role combines backend development, automation, data processing, and frontend work to transform XML content into multiple formats and automate documentation generation from engineering sources.

You will build and support systems for document conversion, validation, generation, and publishing, and collaborate with engineering, writers, and product teams to improve tools and workflows.

Qualificações

• Strong development experience with Python and the Django framework.
• Hands-on XML processing and transformation experience.
• Experience with HTML and PDF generation technologies.
• Experience with YANG and JSON data structures.
• Strong experience working in Linux environments and Git for source control.
• Backend development experience with PostgreSQL.
• Frontend development familiarity: JavaScript, React, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, REST APIs.

Responsabilidades

• Develop automation solutions that transform XML-based documentation into multiple output formats.
• Build systems that automatically generate documentation from engineering data sources (YANG, JSON, APIs).
• Create and support applications used for document conversion, validation, generation, and publishing.
• Develop backend services and REST APIs that support documentation workflows.
• Collaborate with engineers, technical writers, and product teams to improve tooling and processes.
• Diagnose and resolve issues across documentation-generation and publishing pipelines.
• Support Linux-based development environments and CI/CD processes related to documentation automation.
• Continuously improve reliability, scalability, and efficiency of documentation systems.
