Inetum in Portugal is seeking a Senior Web Services Engineer to design, operate and optimize highly available web platforms in a 24/7 multi-customer production environment.

You will design, deploy and maintain platforms based on Apache HTTP Server, Tomcat, PHP and IIS, act as SME for web technologies, and lead production changes.

Fluent in Portuguese and English, available for on-call, and able to collaborate with application, system, network, security, DBA and middleware teams.

Qualificações

• Experience with designing and operating web platforms in 24/7 production.
• Expertise in web architectures, reverse proxies, TLS, and load balancing.
• Strong troubleshooting across web, app, and infra layers.
• Experience in on-call incident resolution and DR concepts.

Responsabilidades

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Web Services Engineer to design, operate and optimize highly available web platforms in a 24/7 multi-customer production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain web platforms based on Apache HTTP Server, Tomcat (Java), PHP and Microsoft IIS;
• Act as technical reference (SME) for web technologies and architectures;
• Manage advanced L3 support, troubleshooting complex issues across web, application and infrastructure layers;
• Configure and optimize reverse proxies, TLS/SSL, virtual hosts, application pools, JVM, PHP runtimes;
• Ensure performance, reliability and scalability, including tuning and root cause analysis;
• Support high availability and disaster recovery (F5 BIG-IP, DNS failover, clustering, load balancing);
• Lead production changes and deployments (configs, certificates, runtime updates);
• Participate in on-call rotation and critical incident resolution;
• Collaborate with application, system, network, security, DBA and middleware teams.

• ITIL-based operations with monitoring, ticketing and CI/CD pipelines;
• Multi-client shared service environment.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Apache HTTP Server, Tomcat/JVM, PHP, IIS;
• Expertise in Web architecture, reverse proxy, TLS, load balancing;
• Expertise in Advanced troubleshooting (logs, JVM, HTTP, network, OS);
• Experience with performance tuning and root cause analysis;
• Knowledge of HA/DR concepts and production environments;
• Scripting/automation and deployment practices.

Nice to Have

• Oracle WebLogic, ORDS, APEX;
• CI/CD, automation, and monitoring tools.

• Team player with strong communication skills;
