A leading manufacturing company is seeking a Warehouse Manager in Loures, Portugal. The successful candidate will oversee all warehouse operations ensuring efficiency and compliance. Ideal applicants have a Master's degree and at least 5 years of experience in warehouse management within the chemical manufacturing industry, along with solid knowledge of management principles and systems like SAP. Qualificações

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in warehouse management in the manufacturing chemical industry.
  • Experience in a fine chemicals or pharmaceutical production environment.
  • Knowledge, Experience and Skills to conduct their tasks in accordance with established rules and procedures.

  • Lead and oversee warehouse operations ensuring safe, timely, and efficient processes.
  • Plan warehouse activities and operator shifts to optimize productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE practices and internal quality policies.

  • Guarantee testing and dispensing of raw materials according to procedures.

You will be responsible to:
  • Lead and oversee warehouse operations, ensuring safe, timely, and efficient reception, storage, dispensing, packaging, loading, and dispatch of materials and products;
  • Plan warehouse activities and operator shifts, anticipating needs and workloads to optimize productivity and resource allocation;
  • Ensure compliance with HSE practices, cGMP, cGDP, and internal quality policies across all warehouse activities;
  • Coordinate activities with external warehouses and logistics partners to ensure service quality, alignment with procedures, and timely flow of materials and products;
  • Guarantee that raw materials are tested and dispensed according to procedures, supporting production needs;
  • Ensure inventories are performed, recorded, and reconciled according to procedures, identifying losses and driving corrective actions;
  • Contribute to the training of warehouse teams by providing inputs for training content, goals, and development needs;
  • Manage and develop team members through recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and career development, ensuring alignment with company culture, values, and goals;
  • Develop annual activity plans and budgets in line with Supply Chain strategic objectives; monitor execution and control deviations;
  • Identify and implement operational improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
We are looking to recruit a Candidate:
  • Masters’ degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or related field;
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in warehouse management in the manufacturing chemical industry;
  • Experience of working in a fine chemicals or pharmaceutical production environment;
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to multitask;
  • Possess solid knowledge of warehouse management principles and practices;
  • Working knowledge of SAP and/or other inventory management systems;
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written), in Portuguese and in English;
  • Must have the Knowledge, Experience and Skills to conduct their tasks in accordance with the rules and procedures set down.
