About The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced VoIP Operations Engineer to support and evolve business-critical voice services within a telecommunications environment.
You will monitor platform performance, investigate complex incidents, and help maintain the availability and stability of VoIP services. The position provides hands‑on exposure to enterprise voice platforms, Session Border Controllers, SIP signalling, routing, load balancing, and service interconnections.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys technical troubleshooting, service operations, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure service continuity.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and support VoIP platforms and voice services;
- Monitor service performance, availability, and stability;
- Troubleshoot incidents involving SIP signalling, SBCs, voice routing, and service interconnections;
- Support Oracle SBC, Huawei SBC, BroadSoft/Cisco, Huawei NGN, and Ericsson MPS platforms;
- Analyse alarms, logs, and traces to identify the root cause of service issues;
- Collaborate with technical teams during incident investigation and resolution;
- Participate in maintenance, upgrades, and new-service implementation activities;
- Support IP networking, load‑balancing, and DNS services related to voice infrastructure;
- Maintain technical and operational documentation;
- Contribute to service optimisation and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
Essential Requirements
- At least three years of experience operating or supporting VoIP services and platforms;
- Good knowledge of SIP signalling, voice routing, and VoIP interconnections;
- Practical experience with Session Border Controllers;
- Experience with Oracle SBC or Huawei SBC environments;
- Familiarity with carrier-grade or enterprise voice platforms;
- Understanding of IP networking and Linux environments;
- Experience analysing logs, alarms, and network or SIP traces;
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills;
- Previous experience in a telecommunications service‑provider environment;
- English proficiency at B2 level;
- Availability to work two days per week in Lisbon.

- Participation in voice‑platform migrations, upgrades, or implementations;
- Experience supporting high‑availability telecommunications services.
