Thales in Portugal is seeking a Verification & Validation Engineer to join its teams and contribute to validating complex systems for defense and aerospace programs. You will write test cases, support FAT and SAT, and coordinate with customers and engineering disciplines to ensure requirements are met.

The role requires an engineering degree, experience in verification and validation, strong documentation skills, English proficiency, and a willingness to travel, with opportunities to work on

Qualificações

• Degree in Engineering (e.g. Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications).
• Experience in verification and validation of complex systems, preferably in air traffic control.
• Experience in preparation and executing tests: documentation, testing, defect reports, etc.
• Good command of English.
• Availability to travel.

Responsabilidades

• Writing test cases to verify system requirements.
• Tracking and validating corrective actions, coordinating with engineering teams.
• Carrying out validation tests during FAT and SAT at the program’s sites.
• Identify and document system modifications to ensure compliance and support architecture changes.
• Provide detailed reporting of test results and brief management and customers.
• Liaise with project management and Design Authorities to ensure timely completion of TopSky deployment work.
• Provide operational/functional support to end-users and internal teams.

Responsibilities:

• Writing test cases to verify system requirements;
• Tracking and validating the Problem Change Report (PCR) corrective actions, in coordination with various engineering disciplines and teams;
• Carrying out validation tests, in coordination with customer representatives, during Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) at the program’s relevant site;
• Based on customer requirements, identify, specify, and document the system modifications needed to ensure compliance, supporting both architectural changes and leading system requirements;
• Providing detail reporting of test results and briefing the Management Team and external Customer;
• Liaise with project management and Design Authorities to ensure that all TopSky deployment work is completed within timelines and to standards;
• Provide operational/functional support to end-users and internal engineering teams and resolving technical inquiries.

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering (e.g. Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications);
• Experience in verification and validation of complex systems, preferably on the air traffic control domain;
• Experience in preparation and executing tests: documentation, testing, problem analysis, defect reports, etc.;
• Good command of English;
• Availability to travel.
