Job summary

Altium Limited, part of the Renesas Group, is seeking a user experience researcher to shape end-to-end experiences for Altium 365. You will own the research practice, run interviews and usability tests, and ensure insights stay accessible across the team, from problem framing to post-launch validation.

You will collaborate with designers, PMs, and engineers, maintaining a searchable insights repository and coaching others in lightweight studies to raise the team’s research literacy.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in UX/product research, or a closely adjacent role with substantial hands-on research work.
• Solid command of qualitative methods, plus enough quantitative literacy to design a survey and interpret product analytics.
• Experience testing prototypes at different fidelities and knowing what each stage can and can’t tell you.
• Clear communication: you can make findings land with a skeptical stakeholder in five minutes.
• Comfort working in ambiguity and scoping research to fit real timelines.
• Familiarity with research ops tooling (Dovetail, Condens, Maze, UserTesting, or similar).
• English at a professional level.

Responsibilities

• Talk to users, regularly: recruit, screen, schedule, incentives, consent.
• Run interviews, contextual inquiries, diary studies, and surveys.
• Validate ideas and prototypes: run usability and concept tests on wireframes and live features.
• Build and maintain the insights repository: set up and curate a searchable findings database.
• Raise the team’s research literacy: coach designers and PMs to run lightweight studies.
