We are a highly reputable manufacturing company in Funchal, Portugal seeking a skilled Turner to join our team on a contract basis. As a Turner, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various lathe machines to produce precision metal components according to technical specifications.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years experience working as a Turner in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining lathe machines
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Strong attention to detail and precision in work
• Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods of time

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate lathe machines to perform turning, boring, threading, and similar operations on metal workpieces
• Adjust machine controls and tool settings as needed for each job
• Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
