Part-Time Turner in Funchal, Portugal

We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Turner to join our team in Funchal, Portugal on a part-time basis. As a Turner, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining lathes, drills, grinders, and other tools to shape and cut metal pieces according to specifications. This is an excellent opportunity for someone without previous experience to gain hands-on training and develop their skills in the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust machines according to blueprints or work orders
• Operate machines to shape, turn, bore, grind, and drill metal pieces
• Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
• Perform routine maintenance on machines
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as a Turner is preferred but not required
• Basic understanding of machining principles
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Physical stamina and strength to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy materials
