Job summary

Nordex is seeking a maintenance technician to service wind turbines in Portugal. You will perform electrical/mechanical tasks, repairs, planned maintenance with subcontractors, and reporting to the Local Operation Manager on-site in the Leiria region.

Travel, nights away from home, and high-altitude work are expected while maintaining safety standards. Candidates should have electrical and/or mechanical education, good English, and be comfortable with MS Office and internal systems.

Qualifications

• Electrical and/or mechanical education background.
• Willing to travel regularly including nights away.
• Teamwork and responsibility.
• Computer literate with MS Office and internal systems.

Responsibilities

• Keep all health & safety related instructions and guidelines.
• Work safely for material and personnel.
• Analyse defects with phone-contact to Service Coordinator.
• Autonomously simple repairs of turbines, troubleshooting and faultfinding.
• Carry out planned maintenance-/inspection-activities with subcontractors.
• Fill in reports and checklists in order to completely inform Local Operation Manager.
• Check inventory of spare parts stock and be responsible for material on site.
• Standard monitoring of booked service reports and steering of service process to book expenses correctly
