Job summary

CTS Group is expanding its Portugal operations and seeks a Topography Surveyor (m/f/d) to support our construction projects across the country. You will perform topographic surveys, setting-out, and documentation while collaborating with Site Management and Production teams to ensure alignment with designs.

Ideal candidates have a 5–15 year range, advanced English, and a background in surveying, geomatics, or civil engineering, with strong AutoCAD and surveying software skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in surveying or related field (geomatics, civil engineering).
• Experience as Topographer/Surveyor in a construction environment.
• Proficiency with total stations and GNSS/GPS systems.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and surveying/data-processing software.
• Advanced level of English.

Responsibilities

• Analyse technical projects, drawings, specifications and construction documentation.
• Carry out topographic surveys, field measurements, setting-out and marking activities.
• Perform dimensional, geometric and elevation control of executed works.
• Verify conformity of construction works with approved designs and technical requirements.
• Support technical preparation and updating of construction drawings.
• Prepare measurement records and project documentation.

We are rapidly expanding into other markets globally. In addition to D&B, we develop and produce digital systems tailored for the Data Center industry and standardized self-contained units.

We’re looking for a Topography Surveyor (m/f/d) to support our construction projects across Portugal.

What will you be doing?

You’ll provide topographical and technical support throughout project execution, working closely with Site Management and Production teams to ensure construction activities are carried out in accordance with approved designs and technical requirements.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Analysing technical projects, drawings, specifications and construction documentation
• Carrying out topographical surveys, field measurements, setting-out and marking activities
• Performing dimensional, geometric and elevation control of executed works
• Verifying the conformity of construction works with approved designs and technical requirements
• Supporting technical preparation and updating of construction drawings
• Preparing measurement records, technical reports and project documentation
• Monitoring construction progress and supporting the validation of executed quantities
• Updating drawings and technical documentation following changes during construction
• Collaborating with Site Management, Production, Measurement, Planning and Estimating teams
• Ensuring the organisation, updating and digital archiving of surveying and technical documentation

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor's degree or technical qualification in Surveying, Geomatics, Geographical Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related field
• Previous professional experience as a Topographer / Surveyor within a construction environment
• Experience in engineering or large-scale construction projects is valued
• Strong knowledge of surveying equipment, particularly Total Stations and GNSS/GPS systems
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD and relevant surveying/data-processing software
• Strong ability to interpret technical drawings, plans, profiles, sections and construction documentation
• Advanced level of English is mandatory
• Availability to work on-site in different locations across Portugal
• Experience required:
  • Intermediate Level: 5–10 years of experience
  • Senior Level: 10–15 years of experience
