Lufthansa Technik Portugal is building a new MRO facility near Porto and seeks an Tool and Equipment Electrical Engineer to design, plan, implement, and maintain test systems for aircraft components.

You will manage test benches and fixtures, ensuring EASA145 and 21 J compliance, while performing fault isolation and system optimisation with Matlab/Simulink. Strong engineering skills and Portuguese/English proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronic or Control Systems Engineering.
• Right to live/work in Portugal.
• Very good written and spoken Portuguese and English skills.
• Experience with electric/electronic systems development, control and measurement technologies.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot, analyze data and optimise system performance.
• Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink, C++, Python, and LabVIEW.

Responsibilities

• Define, adapt, and approve test procedures under EASA145 and 21 J requirements.

Tool and Equipment Electrical Engineer – Lufthansa Technik Portugal Join us to be part of a new MRO facility near Porto, Portugal, focusing on repairing engine parts and aircraft components. Join a well‐established and trusted company while helping build something new from the ground up. Tasks As Tool and Equipment Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, planning, implementing, and maintaining test systems, benches, equipment, tooling, and fixtures for aircraft component maintenance, ensuring full compliance with airworthiness and legal requirements.

Responsibilities

Manage projects within the scope of T&E development or optimization and be fully responsible for cost, lead times, and quality targets. Define, adapt, and further develop test procedures and systems and be responsible for design, applicability, and approval under EASA145 and 21 J requirements. Design, procure, and maintain test benches and equipment in line with EASA standards. Perform complex fault isolation in combination of test unit and test system and improve system performance by using Matlab/Simulink system modelling. Define maintenance and training concepts to ensure equipment availability. Conduct economic analyses and support special initiatives.
