Capgemini Engineering is seeking an automation engineer to design, develop, and enhance automated testing frameworks using Robot Framework and Python. You will leverage AI-assisted tools to boost test intelligence and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable software fast.

Ideal candidates bring 3–4 years of experience in test automation, strong CI/CD experience, and a passion for quality engineering.

Qualificações

• 3–4 years in test automation with Robot Framework and Python.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Git and Agile software development environments.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Robot Framework and Python across functional, regression, and integration tests.
• Write clean, reusable Python scripts and custom Robot Framework libraries to extend testing capabilities.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate test creation and intelligence.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA engineers to translate requirements into automated tests.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality feedback.
• Analyze test results and drive resolution with engineering teams to prevent recurrence.

YOUR ROLE

In this role you will be a key contributor to the design, development, and continuous improvement of automated testing frameworks, combining your expertise in Robot Framework and Python with the power of AI-assisted development tools to deliver faster, smarter, and more effective quality assurance solutions.

In this role you will play a key role in:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining automated test suites using Robot Framework and Python, ensuring comprehensive coverage across functional, regression, and integration testing
• Writing clean, reusable, and well-structured Python scripts and custom Robot Framework libraries to extend testing capabilities and address complex automation challenges
• Leveraging AI-assisted development tools, including Claude Code, to accelerate test creation, improve test intelligence, and explore innovative approaches to quality assurance
• Collaborating closely with developers, product owners, and other QA engineers to understand requirements and translate them into robust, maintainable automated test cases
• Integrating automated test pipelines into CI/CD workflows, ensuring continuous quality feedback throughout the software delivery lifecycle
• Analysing test results, identifying patterns in failures, and working proactively with engineering teams to drive resolution and prevent recurrence
• Continuously researching and evaluating emerging tools, frameworks, and AI-driven testing methodologies to enhance the team's testing capabilities and efficiency

YOUR PROFILE

We are looking for a quality-focused and technically curious engineer who is passionate about automation, embraces innovation, and is excited about the role AI is playing in the future of software testing.

• Between 3 and 4 years of experience in test automation, with strong hands-on proficiency in Robot Framework and Python, including the ability to develop custom libraries and extend framework capabilities
• Demonstrated interest or practical experience with AI-assisted development and testing tools, including tools such as Claude Code, and an enthusiasm for exploring how AI can enhance test automation practices
• Solid understanding of software testing principles, test design techniques, and quality assurance best practices, with experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git, and comfort working in collaborative, agile software development environments
• A collaborative, detail-oriented, and proactive mindset, with strong communication skills and a genuine passion for continuous learning and quality engineering innovation
