Job summary

Knok is seeking a Telephone Triage Nurse to assess patients' medical needs over the phone and guide them to the appropriate level of care. You will identify care requirements, provide compassionate support, and document outcomes with clear questioning.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Nursing, RN license, at least two years of triage experience by phone or ER, and are fluent in Portuguese and English. Training will be provided at our Matosinhos office in Porto.

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing and valid RN license.
• Minimum of two years' triage experience by phone or in an ER.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English; strong communication skills.

• Accept telephone calls from patients with varying levels of acuity and types of medical concerns

About the role

We are looking for a Telephone Triage Nurse to join our team and help us evaluating our patient’s medical needs over the phone, ensuring they are guided to the right level of care.

Requirements

Who you are

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
• Current, valid state license as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in triage, either by telephone or in an emergency room setting
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multitask
• Compassionate, with good communication skills
• Fluent in Portuguese and English (written and spoken)
• Comfortable working under pressure in fast-changing conditions
• Available to get initial training at our office in Matosinhos, Porto

Nice to have:

• Have experience in telephone triage, telehealth or digital health services;
• Have experience in clinical quality, audit or continuous-improvement activities.
