Accenture Portugal is seeking a Telecom Core Security Engineer to support cybersecurity and transformation initiatives for mobile network operators. The candidate will bring hands-on experience with telecom core networks, 5G SA, and security across voice, data, IMS, and signaling.

You will work with security consultants, SOC teams, and clients to assess networks, review architectures, and drive secure modernization from 4G to 5G. Fluent in Portuguese and English, willing to travel.

Qualificações

• Minimum 3 years of telecom core engineering experience.
• Understanding of radio (2G/3G/4G/5G) and core networks (voice/data/IMS/5G SA).
• Knowledge of signaling/core protocols: SS7, Diameter, GTP, SIP/IMS, 5G SBI.
• Understanding roaming and interconnect concepts.
• Understanding telecommunications security principles and solutions.
• Willing to travel.
• Experience with mobile operators or telecom vendors.
• Exposure to telecom security technologies such as Signalling Firewalls, SEPP, Fraud Management, Threat Detection & Lawful Interception.
• Knowledge of GSMA security standards (NIS2, TSA).
• Experience supporting security audits or risk assessments.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English (written and spoken).

Job Description

We are seeking a Telecom Core Security Engineer to support cybersecurity and transformation initiatives for mobile network operators. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in telecom core network architectures, protocols, and operational environments from legacy mobile networks through to 5G Standalone deployments.

This role will support cybersecurity engagements focused on securing modern telecommunications infrastructures.

Job Qualifications

• Knowledge of telecom signaling and core protocols including: SS7, Diameter, GTP, SIP/IMS, 5G SBI
• Understanding of roaming and interconnect concepts.
• Understanding of telecommunications security principles and solutions applied to prevent and detect risks.
• Mobility and willingness to travel.
• Experience with mobile operators or telecom vendors.
