Job summary

NetJets Europe is seeking a Technical Writer Lead to oversee the technical writing team within Document Control. You will plan strategically, mentor staff, and collaborate with multiple departments to align documentation with company goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in English or similar required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Fluency in Business English (written and spoken).
  • Ability to work independently or within a team, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organisation skills and attention to detail.
  • High proficiency in MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the technical writing team, including assigning projects, balancing workload, and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Develop and implement documentation strategies aligned with organisational goals, establishing style guides and standards.
  • Oversee quality control processes, conducting final reviews of high-priority documents and ensuring consistency across all deliverables.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, align priorities, and advocate for documentation best practices.
  • Manage multiple documentation projects, developing timelines, allocating resources, and reporting progress to upper management.
  • Stay current with industry trends and evaluate new tools or technologies to enhance documentation processes and team capabilities.
  • Develop content strategies that improve user experience and product adoption, analysing user feedback to inform improvements.
  • Liaise between the technical writing team and other departments, representing documentation needs in meetings and discussion.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, including new methodologies or tools to increase efficiency and quality.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the team, organising.
  • Ensure that safety is a part of every job and activity. Support the safety and compliance programmes, ensuring that any issue that may affect them is appropriately reported.
  • Lead and motivate team members in their areas of expertise and through performance metrics, driving for a culture of excellence and results.
