OLX is seeking a deep-specialist SEO to own organic search health for two categories within its classifieds platform. You will diagnose, execute, and iterate across technical SEO, content gaps, and cannibalization, embedded with marketing, product, and engineering teams.

You will translate insights into prioritized engineering work, and drive implementation with an SEO voice in cross-functional sprints. Remote options include eligible locations in Europe.

Qualificações

• 3–5 years of hands-on technical SEO experience in a large-scale platform (classifieds/e-commerce).
• Strong crawl tooling knowledge and ability to diagnose crawl/index issues.
• Experience with GA, log analysis, and SEO platforms; ability to translate data into specs for engineers.

About The Role

This is a deep‑specialist, hands‑on role. You will own the organic search health and grow agenda for two assigned categories within OLX's Horizontals classifieds platform. Where the SEO/GEO lead sets the strategic direction across the platform, you go deep – diagnosing, executing, iterating at the category level.

You will be directly embedded in marketing, product and engineering process for your categories. Attending as the SEO voice in the room, not as a peripheral stakeholder. You translate organic search intelligence into prioritizing engineering work, and you track it through to implementation.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS POSITION CAN BE BASED IN PORTUGAL, POLAND, OR ROMANIA. OLX does not provide relocation support, so you must already be based in and eligible to work from one of these locations.

What responsibilities will you get when working with us?

Technical SEO State

Continuously audit and monitor the technical health of your two categories. You own the diagnostic backlog and drive resolution – not just reporting.

• Crawlability, indexation health, and robots directives
• Core Web Vitals and page experience signals
• Structured data implementation and schema coverage
• Internal linking architecture and crawl budget efficiency
• JavaScript rendering issues and dynamic content indexation
• Log file analysis to understand how Googlebot interacts with category pages at scale

Content Gap Analysis

Map search demand against OLX's existing inventory and content coverage within your categories. Identify where OLX is invisible and define what closes those gaps at scale.

• Keyword and intent universe mapping per category
• Benchmarking coverage against direct and indirect competitors
• Identifying landing page pattern gaps (facets, location‑intent combos, UGC‑heavy pages)
• Scoping scalable content or template solutions for volume coverage
• Feeding gap findings into the SEO/GEO Lead's prioritization framework

Cannibalization Handling

Diagnose and resolve instances where OLX pages within your categories compete against each other for the same queries – diluting rankings and confusing crawlers.

• Page‑level and keyword‑level cannibalization diagnosis using GSC + crawl data
• Designing and implementing consolidation strategies (canonical, redirect, content merge)
• Monitoring post‑implementation impact and iterating
• Documenting canonical and URL architecture decisions for engineering alignment

Growth Niche Exploration

Surface emerging and underserved search demand within your categories. Validate opportunities and propose scalable ways to capture them.

• Identifying rising query clusters and seasonal demand shifts
• AI‑assisted keyword clustering and intent classification
• Evaluating niche opportunity size vs. effort required
• Proposing scalable page patterns, template variations, or content strategies
• Collaborating with the Lead to prioritize and roadmap validated niches

GEO / AI Search

Apply GEO thinking to your assigned categories as AI‑driven search surfaces grow in importance. You are not responsible for OLX's GEO framework – that sits with the Lead – but you are expected to bring GEO signals into your category work.

• Understanding how AI overviews and generative answers surface category‑relevant content
• Flagging category‑level content gaps that affect GEO visibility
• Contributing structured content insights that support the Lead's GEO roadmap

What will help you to be successful in this role?

• 3-5 years of hands‑on technical SEO experience in a large‑scale platform – ideally classifieds, marketplace, or e‑commerce with millions of indexed pages
• Strong command of crawl tooling: Screaming Frog, OnCrawl, or equivalent
• Proficiency with Google Search Console, BigQuery or SQL for log analysis, and at least one third‑party SEO platform (SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz)
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose and implement cannibalization fixes – not just flag them
• Ability to write precise, actionable technical specs for engineers without requiring SEO leadership to translate
• Comfort in agile product ceremonies: you can hold your own in sprint planning and backlog conversations
• Working knowledge of HTML and JavaScript (especially rendering implications)
• Preferred experience with faceted navigation, UGC‑heavy platforms, or multi‑language/multi‑market SEO at scale
• Familiarity with GEO and AI search concepts (generative answers, LLM‑based discovery, entity optimization)
• Python or automation scripting for SEO workflows
• Preferred experience with A/B testing SEO changes at page‑template level.
