Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, seeks a Technical Lead (DeFi) based in Portugal for a fully remote leadership role. You will lead a software team and a Technical Product Manager, shaping DeFi infrastructure, MEV services, and validator profitability.

You will combine hands-on engineering with technical strategy, guiding architecture and product delivery while communicating effectively with stakeholders across Europe.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 5+ years designing, building, deploying scalable distributed backend systems.
• 3+ years professional blockchain engineering experience.
• Deep proficiency in Go (Golang) for backend development.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and support a team of software engineers and a Technical Product Manager.
• Guide the design, implementation, and optimization of MEV services and Ethereum mempool transaction workflows.
• Define and deliver product offerings designed to maximize validator gains and profitability.
• Collaborate with DeFi searchers to develop tools and services that improve trading execution.
• Contribute hands‑on code to the Blockchain Distribution Network (BDN) and related services.
• Ensure backend systems deliver high performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Promote strong engineering practices, including code quality, automated testing, and continuous improvement.

This fully remote leadership opportunity is ideal for an experienced software engineer passionate about blockchain technology and decentralized finance.
You will lead a team of software engineers and a Technical Product Manager while helping shape innovative DeFi infrastructure.
The role combines hands-on engineering with technical strategy, team development, and product delivery.
You will work on high-performance MEV services and Ethereum mempool transaction workflows.
Your contributions will help improve validator profitability and trading execution for DeFi searchers.
The position offers an opportunity to build scalable distributed systems within a technically ambitious, collaborative environment.
Candidates based in Germany and other eligible locations across Europe or the UK can work remotely.

Accountabilities

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with the capacity to break down complex technical challenges.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

• A combination of technical leadership experience and hands‑on engineering expertise.
