Job summary

Act Digital is seeking a Tech Lead for Java, Angular and Google Cloud Platform to guide architecture and product delivery in Lisbon. The role oversees frontend and backend and cloud-native microservices, shaping technical direction and driving high-quality solutions.

You will mentor the team, promote secure API integration, and collaborate with Product Owners to translate business needs into scalable technology. Hybrid work in Lisbon is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Technology, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• 9+ years of software development experience with leadership on complex projects.
• Strong Java 17/21, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Maven and Git.
• 9+ years of secure microservices experience.
• Hands-on GCP experience with GKE, Cloud Run, App Engine, Cloud SQL, Spanner or Cloud Storage.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, XL Deploy or XL Release) and Oracle SQL databases.
• Fluent English (B2/C1); French is a plus.
• Hybrid work availability: 2 days per week in Lisbon office.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical reference for the Agile team and guide decisions across the software development lifecycle.
• Design scalable solutions and oversee delivery of testable, maintainable software.
• Define frontend architecture and lead development with Angular.
• Design, deploy and manage cloud-native applications and microservices on Google Cloud Platform.
• Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Promote coding standards, code reviews, secure API integration and engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex issues, optimize performance and coordinate releases and cloud migration work.
• Mentor developers and support knowledge sharing across the team.

• Fluent English (minimum B2/C1); French is a plus.
• Availability for a hybrid schedule with 2 days per week in the Lisbon office.
• Knowledge of Agile methods and Jira, strong communication, problem-software.
