WTW is seeking a Technical Accountant to own the monthly close for share-based compensation and to model ASC 718 expenses. You will reconcile related accounts, assist with disclosures, and partner with payroll, tax, audit, and other global teams. Strong Excel, Power Query, and low-code skills are required.

You will drive process improvements, support audits, and help implement smarter, scalable accounting processes across entities worldwide.

Qualificações

• 3+ years of corporate or public accounting experience.
• Knowledge of share-based accounting per US GAAP or IFRS.
• Experience preparing account reconciliations.
• Strong Excel and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsabilidades

• Own the monthly close for share-based compensation, including journal entries and variance explanations.
• Reconcile share-based comp accounts and resolve unexplained activity with partners.
• Reconcile and report Capital Activity and ESPP expenses.
• Assist with ASC 718 modeling for new awards and potential hires/terminations.
• Support disclosures and audit/tax inquiries; coordinate with payroll and global teams.

Join our team as a Technical Accountant and take ownership of the accounting and reporting that supports our global share-based compensation programs. This is a high-impact opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys combining technical expertise with practical problem-solving—from leading the monthly close and explaining key variances to modeling new awards, supporting disclosures, and partnering with payroll, tax, audit, and other teams worldwide. You will have the autonomy to improve how work gets done, using strong Excel skills, Power Query, AI, and low-code tools to create smarter, more efficient processes. Accounting

• Ownership of the monthly close process for share-based compensation, which includes recording journal entries, leveraging Power Query workflows as applicable, summarizing expense and explaining variances to Plan and/or Forecast
• Reconcile share-based comp accounts, research unexplained activity, and work with partners to achieve resolution
• Reconcile and report Capital Activity
• Assist with calculations of performance-based awards and past or future modifications to existing awards
• Assist with purchase accounting as applicable
• Answer audit and tax inquiries, including statutory reporting requests for entities around the world
• Record expense for ESPP and true up upon purchase
• Coordinate with local payrolls when awards vest and reconcile vesting activity
• Prepare quarterly disclosures
• Assist in review of the Pay vs. Performance disclosures in the Proxy
• Calculate intercompany recharges in accordance with agreements

Modeling/Forecasting

• Assist with modeling and developing budget
• Dynamically model ASC 718 expense for potential new awards, providing a quick turnaround and multiple scenarios
• Provide accounting impact for potential new hires and terminations, providing a quick turn-around

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in corporate accounting or public accounting
• Knowledge of share-based accounting requirements in accordance with US GAAP or IFRS
• Experience preparing account reconciliations
• Strong Excel skills
• Ability to communicate with management and work cross-functionally
• Process improvement mindset, including leveraging AI and/or low-code tools where applicable

Preferred

• Knowledge of ASC 718 on stock-based compensation
• Experience accounting for Performance Restricted Stock Units
• Experience accounting for an ESPP
• Experience with Microsoft products, including Power Query
• Experience with Fidelity Plan Sponsor Web Station or another share-based compensation platform
• ERP experience and systems confidence, including recording journal entries and running reports from an ERP system such as Oracle and/or HFM
