Sovos is seeking a Technical Lead for TechOps to guide SREs and engineers in building scalable cloud infrastructure. You will shape platform architecture, drive reliability, and mentor teams across automation, observability, and deployment practices.

You will collaborate with software teams to define SLIs/SLOs, design IaC, and lead the adoption of best practices for production readiness. A strategic, hands-on leader role in a global company.

Qualificações

• 7+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Infrastructure.
• Experience leading or mentoring teams within a complex technical operations structure.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex systems in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Skilled in cloud-native systems architecture and HPC patterns.
• Expert in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CDK, Ansible) in AWS and OnPrem VMs.
• Expertise in automation/orchestration with Go, Python, Bash, etc.
• Experience with Kubernetes and observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Deep understanding of networking, microservices, and security.

The Work You'll Do

Experienced in cloud-native infrastructure and distributed systems, the Technical Lead demonstrates deep expertise in automation and reliability engineering, is excited by the opportunity to evolve our platform architecture and is passionate about mentoring up-and-coming SREs and DevOps engineers. This role is a blend of senior-level technical skills combined with the opportunity to lead a tier of the TechOps organization, directly contributing to infrastructure design, system observability, and overall production readiness.

More Specifically You Will

• Serve as a technical mentor and coach to other SREs and TechOps engineers
• Lead and elevate the performance of infrastructure teams, driving a culture of high-velocity execution.
• Build a collaborative partnership with software engineering teams to define SLIs, SLOs and operational standards.
• Lead the design, provisioning, scaling and deployment of cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes clusters, OnPrem VM’s and CI/CD pipelines
• Champion a culture of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), robust system observability and continual learning throughout the department.
• Conduct peer reviews for IaC, deployment manifests and architecture proposals to ensure production-grade quality and security.
• Define & maintain infrastructure specifications, disaster recovery plans and runbooks, coaching the team in adopting them.
• Integrate reliability practices, automated testing for infrastructure and streamlined incident response processes.

What We Need From You

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field/discipline
• Minimum of 7 years of work experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Systems Administrator or Cloud Infrastructure.
• Experience leading or mentoring a group or team within a complex technical operations structure.
• Ability to achieve results and troubleshoot complex systems in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Skilled in cloud-native systems architecture and high-performance computing patterns.
• Expert in infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, CDK, Ansible, etc), managing cloud environments (AWS) and OnPrem virtual machines.
• Expertise in developing reliable automation, orchestration or custom tooling in Go, Python, Bash, etc.
• Experience with advanced container orchestration (Kubernetes) and modern open-source observability stacks (e.g., VictoriaMetrics, Prometheus, Grafana) is a strong plus.
• Deep understanding of networking, microservices architecture and security best practices.
