Sovos is seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer to design, build, and operate platform services that power the Core Platform and AI Platform. You’ll work with the Platform Adoption team to ensure features are adoptable, well-documented, and scalable, influencing how teams build against Sovos’ infrastructure.

You will own platform services from identity to AI capabilities, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and secure experiences at scale.

Qualificações

• Proficiency in building shared services or platform components.
• Experience designing APIs, SDKs, or component libraries with DX a priority.
• Familiarity with identity and authentication patterns (OAuth/OIDC, SAML, SSO).

The Work You'll Do:

At Sovos, our Core Platform and AI Platform are the foundation that dozens of engineering teams build on. We're seeking a Fullstack Senior Engineer who will design, build, and operate the platform services that power that foundation — services that are reliable, well-documented, and adoptable at scale.

This is a builder role at the center of the Sovos platform strategy. You'll work closely with the Platform Adoption team to understand how teams are using what you build, close feedback loops quickly, and ensure that what ships is something the broader engineering organization can confidently rely on.

The Fullstack Senior Engineer will own the design and delivery of platform services that span the Sovos portfolio — from identity and administration to AI capabilities and shared infrastructure. Your work directly determines what other teams can build and how fast they can build it.

More specifically you will:

Building Platform Services That Scale Across the Portfolio

You’ll design and deliver the Core Platform and AI Platform services that product teams depend on — things like identity, shared admin experiences, design system components, and AI infrastructure. Adoptability is a first-class requirement: services need to be well-designed, well-documented, and easy to integrate correctly.

• Design and implement platform services with clear contracts, versioning strategies, and backward compatibility in mind
• Build with adoption as a first-class concern — prioritize APIs, SDKs, and interfaces that are intuitive for consuming teams
• Contribute to Core Platform components including identity, Sovos Admin, Mosaic design system, and Sovos Home
• Build and maintain AI Platform infrastructure including tooling, integrations, and agentic service components
• Establish engineering standards, patterns, and guardrails that make the right way the easy way for consuming teams

Partnering Closely with the Platform Adoption Team

You’ll work together with the Senior Developers on the Platform Adoption team who are embedded with consuming teams.

• Treat adoption friction as a product defect - actively seek feedback from the Adoption team and act on it
• Collaborate on Skills and integration guidance to ensure what gets taught matches what's built
• Participate in onboarding sessions, design reviews, and pairing with consuming teams when platform depth is needed
• Provide timely support and clear escalation paths for teams hitting blockers in platform integration

Owning Quality, Reliability, and the Path to Production

Platform services are only as good as their uptime, and the confidence teams have in them. You’ll lead testing strategies, participate in deployment planning, and take ownership of the operational quality of what you build — because what you ship is someone else’s critical path.

• Author and maintain comprehensive test plans — unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end — for platform services
• Own the deployment lifecycle for platform components from development through staging to production
• Establish observability practices (logging, metrics, alerting) so platform health is visible and actionable
• Contribute to security and compliance reviews for platform services, particularly those touching identity and data
• Participate in on-call rotations and lead incident response for platform-level issues

What We Need From You:

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, with meaningful time building shared services, platforms, or infrastructure consumed by other engineering teams
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and React for frontend platform components; experience with backend services in Java, .NET, or Node.js
• Experience designing APIs, SDKs, or component libraries with developer experience as a primary consideration
• Familiarity with identity and authentication patterns (OAuth/OIDC, SAML, SSO) is a strong plus
• Experience or genuine enthusiasm for AI tooling, agentic frameworks, and integrating LLM-based capabilities into platform services
• Strong instincts for testing strategy - you write tests because you care about what happens after you ship, not because someone asked you to
• Excellent communication skills: you can explain platform design decisions and trade-offs to both engineering peers and non-technical stakeholders
• A collaborative mindset - you view the teams building on your platform as customers, not consumers
