As part of Groupe BPCE’s international division, Natixis in Portugal designs and delivers solutions for its two core areas – Corporate & Investment Banking and Asset & Wealth Management – as well as transversal services that support all entities across the Group. With more than 3,000 employees representing 46 nationalities, the teams work across Information Technology, Banking Support Activities, and Compliance, in an integrated, inclusive, and cross‑functional way, supporting all business lines and platforms of the Group. A disruptive mindset and a culture of proximity and agility identify the Natixis in Portugal team and reflect the company’s mission to transform traditional banking at a global scale: a perfect match in the Portuguese dynamics and entrepreneurial ecosystem.

We are looking for an IT Team Leader (local contract) to work within IT Corporate Risk teams. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic IT Team Leader to join our IT Risk team in Porto, within the Credit Risk and Rating Engines department. This role is crucial for managing and optimizing our software development lifecycle (SDLC). You will drive technical excellence, respond to various project requests (architecture, estimation, and software integration), and preserve excellent relationships with our stakeholders, particularly in Paris, but also locally in Porto. This is a leadership role that requires excellent people, agile delivery, and technical project management skills. This opportunity is ideal for a proactive leader who thrives in a challenging environment, is passionate about modern software development practices (CI/CD, Clean Code, Agile), and is eager to foster a collaborative and high‑performing engineering culture.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Supervise, coach, and develop software engineers and Business Analysts (Frontend, Backend, and Fullstack), ensuring high performance, motivation, and adherence to engineering best practices.

  • Operational Excellence & Delivery:
    • Monitor and ensure team compliance with sprint/project objectives, proposing corrective actions to align with delivery milestones.
    • Coordinate software development and technical activities, allocating tasks via Jira/Agile frameworks and ensuring smooth development workflow for a specialised engineering team.
    • Contribute engineering expertise to enhance software architecture, code quality, and team technical know‑how.
    • Ensure the quality and compliance of the codebase, advocating for automated testing, code reviews, and adherence to security and development standards.
    • Ensure high availability and reliability of the developed software solutions post‑deployment.
  • Strategic Contribution & Project Involvement:
    • Support the direct Manager in defining and implementing strategic actions to meet Business Unit goals.
    • Participate in software engineering projects related to your area of expertise, focusing on continuous delivery, refactoring, and technical debt reduction.
    • Identify and propose actions to improve development efficiency, CI/CD pipelines, and software productivity.
    • Contribute to the sourcing strategy and process for IT developer profiles, fostering collaboration between recruitment suppliers and managers.
  • Stakeholder Management & Communication:
    • Provide regular quantitative (e.g., burn‑down charts, release readiness) and qualitative updates to Management through periodic reports.
    • Participate in internal and external meetings, representing the engineering team and building cooperative relationships with product owners and business stakeholders.
