Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join our Tailings & Mine Waste team in Madrid, Spain. The role focuses on supporting tailings and mine waste management projects, ensuring facilities meet evolving ESG standards and regulatory guidance.

You will work across geotechnical, hydrogeology, and civil disciplines and travel to client sites as needed. The successful candidate will have 4–8 years of consultancy experience, strong geotechnical software skills, and excellent

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or geotechnical engineering is required.
• Advanced degree is preferred.
• Professional registration is desirable.
• 4–8 years in engineering consultancy is required.
• Proficiency with geotechnical software and numerical modeling is essential.
• Good writing and communication skills are required.
• Willingness to travel and work on site may be necessary.

Responsabilités

• Civil/Geotechnical/Tailings dam design.
• Geotechnical analyses using various software packages.
• Understanding of tailing deposition modelling (Muk3D).
• Geotechnical and environmental site characterisation.
• Development and management of instrumentation monitoring systems.
• Task management and proposal preparation support.
• Preparation of engineering reports, design calculations, drawings, technical specifications.
