knok is seeking a Strategy & Operations Associate to work closely with the Chief Medical Officer, acting as a trusted partner and helping drive key clinical and strategic priorities.

You will structure ambiguous problems, deliver analyses and recommendations, prepare executive materials, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to move initiatives forward with clarity and pace.

About the role

We are looking for an Strategy & Operations Associate to work closely with our Chief Medical Officer, acting as a trusted partner and helping drive some of the most important clinical and strategic priorities at knok.

This role is designed for someone who is comfortable navigating complex topics, structuring ambiguous problems, supporting executive decision-making and ensuring that key priorities move forward with clarity and pace. You will work directly with the CMO, supporting him across strategic initiatives, analysis, decision-making and execution, while collaborating with different teams across knok.

As an Strategy & Operations Associate, you will:

• Work closely with the CMO on strategic priorities, special projects and key decisions;
• Structure complex problems and turn them into clear analyses, recommendations and action plans;
• Prepare business cases, strategic analyses and executive-level materials;
• Support the CMO in evaluating new opportunities, projects and partnerships;
• Track critical initiatives, ensuring clear ownership, progress and follow-through;
• Coordinate and influence cross-functional stakeholders to move key priorities forward;
• Support preparation for important internal and external meetings;
• Bring structure, analytical rigour and pace to high-impact topics across the clinical organisation;
• Act as a trusted partner to the CMO, helping prioritise and manage competing strategic priorities.

To be considered for this role, here are the skills we’re looking for:

• 3+ years of experience in management consulting, strategy consulting or a similar high-performing environment;
• Strong structured problem-solving skills;
• Excellent analytical and critical-thinking capabilities;
• Ability to work comfortably with ambiguous and complex topics;
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to synthesise complex information into clear recommendations;
• Confidence working with senior stakeholders and influencing without formal authority;
• Strong ownership, autonomy and attention to detail;
• Ability to manage multiple high-priority topics simultaneously;
• Fluency in Portuguese and English.

It would be a plus if you...

• Have previous experience in healthcare, pharma, healthtech or life sciences;
• Have worked on strategy, transformation or innovation projects;
• Are genuinely interested in healthcare and the impact of technology on care delivery.

Stages of the process

1. People Interview: A conversation to get to know you better, explore your background and motivation, and introduce you to knok, our culture and the role.
2. CMO and another SLT member Interview: A conversation with our Chief Medical Officer to explore your experience, problem-solving approach and how you could contribute to his key priorities.
3. Final Interview: A final conversation to deepen mutual fit and discuss the role, expectations and next steps.
