Somincor – Sociedade Mineira de Neves Corvo, S.A. is seeking an experienced Mining Engineer to create and track short-term production plans aligned with safety and efficiency goals. The role collaborates daily with operations and technical teams to optimize mine development and ensure executable plans.

You will monitor performance, analyze deviations, and propose corrective actions to meet targets for tonnage, ore grade, and productivity, while upholding safety and environmental standards.

Qualificações

• Master's degree in mining or related field and 5+ years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of mine ventilation and planning software.
• Excellent command of English, written and spoken.
• Experience with Deswik CAD/Deswik Scheduler, Vulcan and Excel.

Responsabilidades

• Develop short-term production plans for a production area, defining sequences and development activities.
• Ensure availability of headings by optimizing sequences, resources, and access management.
• Provide technical support to Production and Development teams and participate in decision-making.
• Ensure plans are practical and executable in collaboration with safety and operations teams.
• Monitor compliance with production plans and propose corrective actions.
• Contribute to value creation through mining method studies and optimization with related teams.
• Ensure compliance with Safety, Health, Environment and Communities standards across all areas.
